Through murals, forums, and workshops, this initiative promotes civic engagement, transparency, and ensures that public funds reflect the community's needs and desires. As the Designer-in-Residence for The People's Budget Year 4 (Fiscal Year 2025), I was invited by Phoebe and Ricky to create a cohesive mini-brand for the project. I developed a vibrant and engaging identity using an asterisk motif to call attention. This branding extended across digital and physical mediums, including social media posts, carousels, environmental signage, posters, informational flyers, a youth activity booklet, and name tags for participating artists. This initiative beautifies public transit and transforms daily commutes into fun and educational experiences, encouraging a love for reading and literacy among young children. Come Aboard the Reading Promise is a public literacy initiative designed to engage parents and children with interactive reading activities during their commutes on Philadelphia’s transit system. Working closely with families, community leaders, and organizations like Read by 4th and the Free Library of Philadelphia, we developed a comprehensive campaign featuring over 150 multi-media placements citywide. The campaign’s design included two complete subway station takeovers, 70 bus shelters, three dozen buses, and numerous subway and rail signs throughout the city, along with various family giveaway items. We also partnered with the French company Short Édition to install Short Story Dispensers at each subway station takeover, featuring stories submitted from the Philadelphia community and beyond. It aims to attract significant local BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) arts &amp; cultural organizations. This website serves to gather inquiries from our intended viewers &amp; get them to take action to apply into these wonderful multi-year funding opportunities. Our task was to take inspiration from other arts &amp; cultural grant websites to create something that stand outs to potential candidates. My design team and I really wanted to capture the essence of Philly’s vibrant and expansive arts &amp; cultural community. A challenge was trying to keep the design enticing and bold, while still being respectable, mature, and simple to digest. I worked alongside our Art Director, Jana Clavel to come up with a variety of visual concepts. Throughout the property, the juxtaposition of industrial details alongside sophisticated designs and finishes further tells the story of grit and honesty with elevated style; an ode to the magnanimous magnate’s innovative and creative spirit. I was given the opportunity to work on this publication which served as a self-guided tour booklet given to visitors at the Kimpton Aertson Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee for its grand opening in 2017. It encouraged them to walk about and discover the hotel as they wished. The theme for this publication correlated with the hotel’s unique spaces and the nickname of Nashville as “Music City”. Each space conveyed a distinct atmosphere, with a curated playlist to set the mood for each one. During various game nights, they dedicate that evening to a specific heritage or community: from Hispanic Heritage, Pride, Black History Celebration, Lunar New Year, and Gender Equality.&nbsp; I was invited by the Creative Team of the NJ Devils in September 2022, to create the warm-up jerseys that would be worn by the team for their Hispanic Heritage theme night. These unique garments debuted during their game against the Colorado Avalanche on October 28th. After warm-ups, the Hispanic Heritage jerseys were auctioned off, shirts inspired by my design were also created. The proceeds gathered were given to local charity, La Casa de Don Pedro and The Devils Youth Foundation. women of all kinds. It promotes empowerment through catharsis of personal story-telling which encourages healing and vulnerability. The Bitter Woman (TBW) is a safe space to discuss feminist topics and issues in all their complexity with heavy influences from the "Riot Grrl" movement. Jeremy was primarily responsible for the typography research and selection, layouts, and technical details. I was in charge of art direction (color &amp; illustrations) and project management. Their music combines dreamy vocals, pulsing bass, and crunchy guitars. In Fall 2022, I was approached by Hot Mart’s frontwoman Dani Bruno to design promotional graphics for their EP release show at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia. The event took place in December 2022 and featured other acts such as Coral Gables and Austin Albright + The Nephews. Their music, a fusion of cabaret and post-punk, aims to be both captivating and thought-provoking. I was entrusted with creating the cover art for Upholstery's single "Set Up House" and its EP remix in May 2022. The design aimed to encapsulate the evocative mood inspired by key elements from the "Set Up House" music video, with a particular focus on integrating the symbolic couch and dollhouse imagery. The visual narrative was crafted to resonate with the essence of the song, which narrates the allure of a magnetic one-night stand.
