Experimental typographic portraits of Simone Weil, French philosopher and political activist, who died as a martyr to her belief in anarchism and her support for the working classes.
The process for this project was tedious, but rewarding. It included doing very abstract and minimal studies of a single letter then a single word evocative of the subject, which later evolved into the finished product.
